MoCo Board Applications

What does it mean to be a part of the MoCo Board?

Being on the Movement Cooperative Board provides you with the opportunity to contribute to the inception, creation, planning, and hosting of movement based opportunities and events for everyone on Indiana University’s campus. Regardless of your position, you will help to make decisions about MoCo’s operations.

As a part of the MoCo Board your mission is to increase dance literacy and provide educational dance experiences in a supportive environment.

We encourage anyone who is interested in becoming involved to apply. You do not have to be studying dance to make a useful contribution to MoCo.

Led by the President, the board has many positions with varying responsibilities, but works as a collective team to bring dance to the IU community. Board members should be dedicated individuals who want to contribute to the goals of the team. Because MoCo hosts events that are open to all of Indiana University, board members are the only registered members of the Movement Cooperative.

All board members must fulfill the following expectations:

  • Attend board meetings.
  • Attend events hosted by MoCo.
  • Step in to lead/teach events if needed.
  • Uphold the values and mission of the organization and represent MoCo well.

All MoCo Board members play a part in furthering MoCo’s mission and maintaining the integrity of the student organization that is The Movement Cooperative at IU.

The MoCo Board is supported by faculty sponsor and Contemporary Dance Professor Selene Carter, who provides guidance and help for the board when wanted/necessary.
